“Gu Dai” Drama: The Legend of Concubine Zhen Huan Review

I know you must be thinking to yourself, what in the world is “Gu Dai”?

Up to this point, we have been introducing to all of you out there dramas that have caught our attention. However, they’re ones that typically caters to the younger viewers. Because of that, I thought I switch things up a bit, and introduce this unique genre to those who may not be familiar. “Gu Dai” , when translated to English, means “ancient times”, and it centers around a particular era in Chinese history. With that being said, it is by no means a documentary or anything of that nature (don’t fret just yet), but rather revolved around stories filled with action, romance, and mischief, kinda like the movie “Troy” (for you westernized readers out there). Anyhow, when it comes to this genre, The Legend of Concubine Zhen Huan is a favorite of mine, and received raved reviews from well just about everyone who’s watched it. Without further ado, let’s dive into the world of imperial women and the struggles that come with their everyday lives!

Anime: Working!! Review

working-logo
As a huge fan of Slice of Life anime, Working!! is an anime that you just can’t pass up on. Their are many slice of life’s were throughout most of the series the characters don’t really do anything or get anywhere. They go along a daily life and the show is made up of mainly laughs with no real conflicts so to speak. Working!! would also fall into that category if it were just another slice of life anime. Working!! adds the elements of a work environment with most of the cast being characters in high school or college and the everyday working lives of these not so ordinary people.

Anime:Tenjou Tenge Review

mxcpTenjou_Tenge_by_Ros_Euphie

Background Info:

Tenjou Tenge is created and animated by Madhouse Studio who I see as one of the top anime studios to date,up there with Bones Studio. They also animated Hellsing Ultimate and Chihayafuru. Licensed by Geneon Entertainment who is no longer around and dubbed by Bang Zoom Entertainment who dubbed Chobits and Accel World. If your wondering why the dubbing company is different in my Accel World review it’s because I didn’t realize at the time that the major licensing companies didn’t do there own dubs all the time. I now know and will try harder from now on to check.
